Anthro jokes aside, that must have been a pretty "Holy $#%@, did I just notice that!?" moment for you. I'd never have seen the resemblance.

More things I noticed in the picture.

Image

On the left you can see part of someone's profile, from their nose to their chin.

Image

In the lower lefthand corner, you can see a bearded man wearing robes. A sage, maybe?

Image

Image

And in the upper righthand corner you can see the Master Sword's blade. Being forged, perhaps?

Image

Here's a hi-res version of the picture.

I noticed multiple faces on the left side there, actually. Either way, this is all too exciting.

Also he is holding no sword and has no scabbard, but the girl is positioned where his scabbard would go.
Amazing picture.

You know, I really thought that the girl being the Master Sword was a huge stretch that people came up with until I saw the stuff HT put into the red boxes. Then I saw that her legs have the same kind of crosshatched design as the hilt. I am a believer.

I really don't see the bearded guy or the sword blade though.

They are aiming for a 2010 release, but nothing is set in stone. Zelda games seem to have a habit of getting delayed.

With all of the other essentially confirmed '09 and '10 releases they announced at E3, I don't think they'll have the time, resources, or devotion to get it out until '11. MAYBE late Holiday '10, but that'd be pushing it.

Wow, Da Vinci Code. lulz

The Master Sword resemblance is a very good observation, but that's all I see.

The Master Sword in top left looks kinda convincing, though really weird, but the face on the left and bearded man look like coincidence, to me.
