What do you think of the new DS Zelda announced at GDC?
It looks FANTASTIC! I can't wait!
It looks okay, but I wish they had used a more mature style, like in Twilight Princess.
Since it's Zelda, I will probably buy it, but I'm not really excited.
Gah! Why won't Nintendo stop using this stupid cel shading!
This series is stupid and is now about trains!

In the trailer, you can see Link wearing his traditional, green tunic.

It's Zelda, so I'm obviously buying it, but I really don't think we need another Celda. We need more stuff like TP.

I'm looking forward more to Spirit Tracks than I was Twilight Princess, because it looks like they've added really new things in it.

I agree with Sheik, we don't need anymore cell shading. I mean, there is nothing wrong with cell shading, Wind Waker was great. But they need to stop making crap sequals for the DS and make a more mature game for older gamers. :bash:

This. Wind waker was cel-shaded, this isn't shaded at all. It just uses the same art direction.

The Wikipedia article says that it does use cel shading. Granted, Wikipedia isn't always 100% accurate, but I think it's correct in this case.

Cel shading allows the DS to more easily render the 3D graphics engine. It gives the game a somewhat cartoony, but also very fluid graphics engine. The 2D Zelda games like Four Swords and Minish Cap use a similar art style, but are not cel shaded.
