Beyond that, it's sort of become imprinted in our minds that the ideal life is that of a nuclear family and watching your children grow into find adults. Not to mention the biological clock that women have, which contributes a huge amount to why some couples who never thought about having kids before suddenly decide to get pregnant.

I believe that raising children is what the majority of the world's population wants. I always hear people talk about raising a family in a nice environment. I, myself, want to grow up and raise a family of my own, what happens in the future is not really up to me, but I can help steer it. I guess people like or want to have that good feeling of fulfillment that they accomplished one of the harder tasks of life, that they want to raise their kids to make the right choices and grow up to be successful. That's what I want at least.

Unfortunately too many parents absolutely suck at it and raise rude, rebellious, disrespectful kids and just can't wait for them to gtfo when they hit 18. It's all about the rod of correction : D

Its a natural instinct to want to reproduce (otherwise we would've gone extinct quite a while ago).

Some people are much better at it than others and there are too many people in the world, but we will keep having children because that is our instinct.

To fit in? That's a first, but now that you mention it, it does kinda make since. People like to fallow the trend, they don't like to get out of the crowd and be their own person.

I believe he was referencing the show Dexter. He got married and had a kid so he wouldn't look like someone you would think is a serial killer. Serial killers are known for being lone wolves.

Oh, I see. (Sorry I don't really watch Dexter that much, though I hear it's a good show)

But you gotta see season 1-3 and the episodes of season 4 that have already aired first.

Pretend to be on the phone and tell her that you just got told that there was a death in the family and quickly grab the remote when she takes the phone that nobody is even on.
