Yeah, but apparently when they showed it at the Nintendo roundtable, it worked like it's suppossed to.

That DEFINITELY did not happen for me. I went to sleep still thinking about Skyward Sword and nothing else.

I agree. Even with the technical difficulties it was fun to watch and super exciting.

3DS is going to be AMAZING though <3

Exactly my point. As I said I am excited about Zelda: SS but it just didn't have the same impact as the 3DS.

I'm super excited for this game. At first I was disappointed about the cel-shading, but I thought about how much of Zelda has been cartoony and it makes sense. It's more or a rule not exception. I liked the art style of TP better but hey, I'll get over it. Way too excited.

Bothered about the gameplay demonstration though... Was it really wireless interference? Have any of you had interference before with the Wii?

It got me thinking... This is such a new style of gameplay. I don't want to be frustrated because Link lags in his sword movements, or it doesn't read correctly. I want to lose hearts because I did something wrong, not that the technology did.

Thoughts?

Check out any live gameplay video that wasn't the one Miyamoto did on stage, and I assure you that you'll change your mind. The gameplay is seamless and looks REALLY fun. :D

I'm excited about having a "dash"-button. A bit more dignified than rolling across Hyrule field, eh?

Yeah, our mom always wonder why we roll across the field anyways.

After reading through everything, I'm really excited. I can't wait to see where this goes.

Also, the style of the animation looks great. I can't wait to play.

Plus, the game uses the infrared sensor in tandem with the MotionPlus sensor; that capability was not in the demo because of all the lights at E3, apparently. It's not that the pointer abilities of the Wii remote will be used, rather that the sensor bar will help to stabilize the motion control, in addition to the Wii MotionPlus addon.

It's faster to roll than to just run.

I'm so excited for this game <3 Not only for the animation, but the game play as well. It's going to be so much fun to swing the wii remote like a sword. I read when you swing vertically Link's sword will go vertically, ect. I hope that the sword moves you learned TP make a return. I loved using those moves!
By the way I read about the music on legend of zelda dot net and it said that music will be fully orchestrated! I hope that's true!

Maybe my expectations were too high...but it's a bit underwhelming. Alot of the animations seem borrowed from TP. Link's running/strafe/ etc. I also expected the graphics to be spiffier than Mario Galaxy's, seeing as how Zelda usually looks better than Mario on whatever console Nintendo currently has out. I'm probably overreacting, it's still early in development, right?

It's actually pretty far along.

The thing is, the Mario and Zelda aesthetics are very different. Especially because this game has a cel-shaded "watercolor" appearance to it, while Super Mario Galaxy is shiny and in space.

OHGOD THIS.

I would LOVE to see the Jump Strike and Helm Splitter. I tend to use those a lot...I also like watching Link hitting them IN THE FACE with his shield.

I did like that Miyamoto said it was inspired by impressionism. Meh I shouldn't be worrying, the gameplay and charm is gonna be there foursho. Being optimistic, I remember the first trailers for WW and TP being way less ambitious than the final product.
