I open a chest and what do I find? A shield eating monster.

And killing it doesn't get my shield back.

Where are you?

I know in some parts of the world you can find secret shops. I found one in the Forest of Deceit.

Ugh, it took me forever to get that. Nice.

Ok go to that area and you know those funky ruins? If you go around the back and head straight into the back of the wall there is a secret shop. If I remember correctly it only has sheilds, bombs, and coal chunks though.

Yeah, the last pair of switches in the second to last room got me stuck for a while.

I figured it out when I accidentally activated the alarm thing.

I'd say that wasn't so much a curveball as being hit by the baseball and the ump not letting you have your walk.

Yeah, and then the ump wouldn't let him walk. Either way it's BS. >_>

Arbitrary deaths and stuff are frustrating, but this sounds like a fun surprise to me. What if they wanted you to beat the next section without a shield, so you would have to improvise and experiment? As long as there's a decent reason, I think this is awesome.

Even without one, awesome.

The next section is IMPOSSIBLE without a shield.

Trust me.

It's when you fix the bridge to the Ocean Area.

After that part you're back go back to the train. You could drive somewhere and buy a new one if you want.

Seeing the word "drive" used in terms of getting around in Zelda upsets me.

Thank you, someone who agrees with me.

We could say that he conducts...(the train)...but this would make it confusing with WW in some cases.
