I was reading my Nintendo Power, and did you know that the Oracle games were originally going to be a trilogy? That's why OoA has so many references to the other games.

Her game was going to be called Mystical Seed of Courage. In their early forms, Oracle of Seasons was called Mystical Seed of Power and Oracle of Ages was called Mystical Seed of Wisdom. However, since they couldn't find a good way to link the three games, they scrapped Mystical Seed of Courage and made it the games were renamed to Seed of the Mystery Tree: Chapter of Earth and Seed of the Mystery Tree: Chapter of Time and Space. Which are the Japanese names of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, respectively.
